We are Tin Dogs Fine Art (or Tin Dogs for short). We provide bespoke screen-printing and giclee for the high-end art creation and replication market.
In 2023 we celebrate over 10 years of being an independent world renowned fine art printing company.
We have produced prints for various art publishers, and galleries including the Tate, the National Portrait Gallery, Art Republic, Ink-d gallery, Prescription Art and L & S Printing to name a few.
We specialise in digital giclee printing and screen-printing, we also combine the two processes to create high quality bespoke images and limited-edition print runs.
We print on various substrates including, poster papers, high quality heavy-weight fine art papers, canvas, glass, aluminium and even mirrors!
Artists often choose to engage us in the creative process to explore innovative methods including:
-Varnishes and Fluorescents
-Spot colours
-Diamond dust and metallic finishes (including gold leaf)
that are integrated into the evolution of new work to enhance textures and colours.
We have perfected the use of C.M.Y.K digital and handmade separations to split images into their constituent colours in order to make the acetates for exposure on to silk screens.
The registration, colour matching and print finish quality which we provide have been acclaimed by artists, publishing houses and galleries alike.
Our giclees are produced using our 2 Epson printers, which are the finest printers within the field. The Inks we use are Epsons’ own brand so are of the highest colour and archival quality.
We use both real and imitation gold and silver leaf to suit the specifications of the artist, and have pioneered techniques of oxidisation to alter the appearance of the leaf in specific areas to enhance the prints.
We are one of the only print companies in the south-east that can produce digital separations and Acetates for exposure onto silk screens. This is essential for certain aspects of the silk-screen process and gives our clients exceptional flexibility for experimentation before deciding upon the final production of their piece.
We have the ability to photograph extremely high resolution images and colour match original pieces, using our Sony A7 IVR camera. Those images are then tweaked and colour corrected in our print studio.
